TOWNSVILLE energy management company Tropical Energy Solutions is taking on new staff as it prepares for a big project at the picturesque Lizard Island Research Station.
Tammy Wilson, wife of company director Adam, has been appointed as business manager and the company is hiring an electrician. Ms Wilson said they were growing the business and building a team of motivated professionals.
“We have several large commercial solar and energy management projects across the state and are seeing more residential solar customers moving away from the cheaper, low-quality, no-service end of the market,” she said. “There are a lot more people looking for reliable companies to install quality systems.”
The company will send an installation team to the Australian Museum’s Lizard Island Research Station next month to complete a stand-alone power system. It will be a complete refurbishment of an 80-kilowatt solar and storage system using Australian-made GenZ energy batteries.
“It will be the final phase of months of work designing and preparing equipment and personnel for the job,” Mr Wilson said.
Tropical Energy Solutions is a locally-owned off-grid and grid-connect energy company based in Hyde Park.
