The Pungalina Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the north eastern corner of the Northern Territory and covers over 55 kilometres of pristine coastline on the Gulf of Carpentaria; and more than 100 kilometres of the nationally significant Calvert River.
Tropical Energy Solutions installed a 5kWp PV solar system with a 33kWh battery bank which provides a significant proportion of the sites electricity supply. The installation included the transportation of all materials across the diverse terrain from Townsville City to the Northern Territory, including the 60km ‘4X4 only’ entrance to the site.
